Mr. Cassler, Adviser

The Central Catholic Chaminade Guard Drill Team and Color Guard teams competed in the annual 5th Army Brigade skills meet at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antonio, and competed their way to earning a coveted spot at the U.S. Army Nationals skills competition in Richmond, VA.

The drill team and the color guard competed against programs from 8 states that totaled 23 teams. The Chaminade Guard finished 8th in inspection, 4th in regulation, 1st in exhibition and 4th overall to earn our spot at the U.S. Army Nationals in Richmond, Virginia. The mixed Color Guard teams ranked 13th in color guard competition. MSG Robles was pleased and proud of their overall performances, and had this to say: “This team is perfect and has performed beyond my expectations. Drill is different than going against one team at a time, as occurs in other sports. Our drill team competes against many teams at the same time, and in different categories. Our team is consistent and always make us proud.”
