Lacrosse shows quick sticks at SMV tourney
January 29, 2019
Central Catholic Lacrosse took advantage of an opportunity to get into the swing of the season by competing in the Smithson Valley Lacrosse tournament on Saturday, January 26th at Jumbo Evans Sports Park in Spring Branch.
Matches were a little different than usual in that the games were matched up with seven on seven players, and the rookie referees were also getting some game calling experience during the tournament.
Button Lacrosse went 2-2 on the day in matches against Reagan, Smithson Valley, and Harlan, and Coach Balleza took note of a few standouts from the match. “We saw solid contributions from Freshmen Diego Juarez and Sammie Silva, and Junior Nick Liberto.”
