The Central Catholic football team defeated San Antonio Christian School 38-0 as all of San Antonio was covered in thunderstorms. The lightning delay happened about 1 minute before half time when CC was up 17-0. Most of the crowd left, but the game was continued and Central was able to put 21 more points on the board and keep a clean sheet even though the half of the field was filled with water. Freshman Franco Querido (Field goal kicker) put up 6 points on the board (3 PATs and a 37 yard field goal) and has had a very successful kicking season. The football team continues to work hard, with a good attitude and Central remains undefeated in district with hopefully a shot at the state title this year, but they have a long way to go. Everyone should congratulate the team on such a successful season and prepare for the homecoming game against St. Joseph’s.
