Asking a Girl to Homecoming

Rob Smith, Staff Writer

It is that time of the year again in which guys will need to ask girls to homecoming and if you do not have a good strategy then your girl will be wearing some other guy’s corsage.

There are six things you need to keep in mind when you start thinking about asking her.

1. Make sure she does not have a date

2. Decide how you’re going to ask her

3. Dress presentably when you ask her

4. Be willing to ask her, you never know what might happen

5. 60% of communication is non-verbal and 30 % is your tone (10%is what you are actually saying)

6. Do not be afraid of rejection

The worst thing that can happen is that you get rejected. If you get rejected she’s probably saying either “get away from me now” or “I already have a date” but with these upcoming ideas and a little confidence then maybe, just maybe “she” will be pinning your boutonnière this year.

-you can make a sign for her (jokes and puns to make her day; girls love comedians)

-give her food (make sure she’s not allergic)

-get her flowers (nothing a bouquet of roses can’t do, plus girls love romance

-help from your friends (three football players holding a homecoming poster)poster is sometimes your best choice)

So in order to make your homecoming dance successful this year you will need to keep the three basic principles, be sincere, be confident, and be yourself and I can guarantee that you will find the best date you could ever ask for.
