With the end of October here Game 1 of the World Series is set to take place tonight, October 28, and it should be an exciting one. The Houston Astros are red hot at 7-0 in the postseason and they have lots of confidence coming in to this game. They swept the Seattle Mariners in 3 games and the New York Yankees in 4, led by rookie shortstop Jeremy Pena and veteran outfielder Yordan Alvarez. This is the Astros’ 4th World Series appearance in the last 6 years. On the other hand, the Philadelphia Phillies are on a surprise run as they were the last seed to get into the playoffs. They are led by outfielder Bryce Harper who leads the postseason in homers with 5. They defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in 2 games, then beat the reigning World Series champion Atlanta Braves in 4 games, and the San Diego Padres in the NLCS in 5 games. This matchup will surely be exciting as both teams have an array of talent and momentum heading into it.
