With Hispanic/Latin Heritage month having already passed this October, I thought I could go over In The Heights, which blew me away. The movie was a Broadway musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda based on his neighborhood and the life of Latinos that are not really shown in media. As a person of Mexican descent, it was fresh to see Latinos/Hispanics in other roles besides as gang members or the help;  it was nice to see that that’s not all we are. In The Heights  is a movie telling the stories of many different people in the neighborhood who all have different dreams and ambitions. The dance choreography is amazing along with the acting of Anthony Ramos, Leslie Grace, Corey Hawkins, and Melissa Barrera. It has amazing cinematography from Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu, and a incredible script written by Quiara Alegría Hudes, along with a passionate soundtrack written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

You can tell that each scene and song have heart in it and I can say it is worth your time.
