Just before the Christmas break, the Guitar Club sponsored its first open mic event on December 8 after school. The event was led and organized by student sponsor Michael Trevino and club member Andres Garcia.

Participants included students and faculty, with some performing their own original songs, and some covering other artists songs. Students participating included Michael Trevino, Andres Garcia, Ricky Olivares, Logan Delgado, and others. A few faculty members that also participated were Mr. Azano, Mr. Ruby, Mr. Cassler, and Mr. Rivard.

There was a good turnout as well with approximately 40 to 50 students showing up, and several faculty members stopped by as well to take in some of the contributing talents.
